From Office Space to Senior Living
The main building dates back to the 1890s and was used as an administrative building for Gothaer Insurance from the fall of the Berlin Wall until the 1990s. The main building has been used as the seat of the Thuringia Tax Court since a complete refurbishment in 1998. The south wing of the building, built in 1923 as an extension, has been vacant for almost three decades. However, the building’s good structural condition enabled it to be developed further following its purchase by the AIF Capital Group in 2020.
Repositioning to Assisted Living
AIF developed the concept, devised the development strategy for the property, and outlined the required renovation works and all necessary measures for the successful repositioning of the property from office space to senior living.
